ETS participants - Regis College

Hey ladies and gents - I received a very nice poster of Regis College in Boston. If this is a school you are looking at and would like to have the poster - it can be yours! Just put a post in the comments or email me at rmcmillen@clarion.edu (remember this offer is good for ETS participants only.)

GPA - Grade Point Average

GPA is the average of your grades. Most high schools use a 4.0 scale with A=4, B=3, C=2, D=1, and E=0. For example, students with all A's have a 4.0. Students with half B's and half C's would have a 2.5 GPA.

Some school shave "weighted" grades for honors, AP, or college credits. For example an A - in AP ENglish may be worth 5 vs. the traditional 4.

Have a question about your GPA? See your guidance counselor or ETS counselor for more information or for help calculating your personal GPA.

Awesome Autumn

Looking for some outdoor fun? Try a couple of these fall activities:
  • Rake the yard and body surf in the pile. (You are never too old for this!)
  • Visit a pumpkin patch. Carve a pattern, logo, or squiggles.
  • Create a scarecrow and put him in your yard.
  • Simmer a batch of hot cider - nothing smells better!
  • Play hide 'n seek outside with your friends.
  • Have a marshmallow roast (with parental help, of course.)
  • Make an autumn journal. Add photos, leaf rubbings, and more.
  • Take a trip to the local apple orchard. (Yes, there are plenty in Western PA.) Bake a pie or make applesauce.
  • Plan a hayride!
  • Take a walk or hike and enjoy the day!
